Your desk’s still stacked with the half-erased sketch
The cherry tree outside it lost its fresh
I bought two cans of your favorite citrus zest
But the second one I left it on the shelf
The bell still rings but the hall’s too quiet now
No more jokes about the quests we’d vow
I trace the name you carved on the window bough
The wind blows cold I don’t know how to bow
We said we’d chase the stars beyond the blue
But the map we drew got torn in two
Every corner’s got a ghost of you
I can’t outrun the memories I can’t undo
Our anime scene faded to black and white
No neon lights to fight the endless night
The bond we had dissolved like smoke in sight
I run alone where the wild winds used to bite
Through the pixelated rain I fall again
No hand to pull me up no voice to mend
This story ended before we reached the end
Our half-written tale I can’t defend
My phone still has the text I never sent
The game save’s stuck on the boss we meant
To beat together now the screen’s unspent
I log in just to see your avatar’s absent
The rain taps hard on the window pane
I hear your laugh in the thunder’s strain
I still leave the door unlocked just in vain
Hoping you’ll walk in like it’s just a game
We said we’d chase the stars beyond the blue
But the map we drew got torn in two
Every corner’s got a ghost of you
I can’t outrun the memories I can’t undo
Our anime scene faded to black and white
No neon lights to fight the endless night
The bond we had dissolved like smoke in sight
I run alone where the wild winds used to bite
Through the pixelated rain I fall again
No hand to pull me up no voice to mend
This story ended before we reached the end
Our half-written tale I can’t defend
If there’s a reset button in this world
I’d press it hard and hold your hand unfurled
No more “what ifs”no more words uncurled
We’d finish the story we once hurled
But the credits rolled before the final act
I’m left with all the lines we never had
I’ll keep the sketchbook keep the faded fact
That you were once my best my only pact
Our anime scene faded to black and white
No neon lights to fight the endless night
The bond we had dissolved like smoke in sight
I run alone where the wild winds used to bite
Through the pixelated rain I fall again
No hand to pull me up no voice to mend
This story ended before we reached the end
Our half-written tale I can’t defend
I put the citrus can on your empty desk
The cherry petal lands on the old sketch
Our story’s done but I’ll still keep the rest
